Ingredients

  • 8 pieces of fresh chicken (drumsticks)
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1-2 eggs
  • 1 cup of panko breadcrumbs
  • 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika (optional)
  • 1 lemon, for decoration
  • pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Lay the chicken out on a paper towel and pat them dry.
  • Place the chicken in a large enough bowl or pan so that there is enough room for the chicken to move around.
  • Add the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional spices on top of the chicken and mix so that all of the chicken drumsticks are covered.
  • In a small bowl whisk together the egg together and add it to the floured chicken. Mix by hand so that all of the chicken drumsticks are covered.
  • Add the breadcrumbs to the chicken and mix by hand so all of the chicken drumsticks are covered.
  • Spray the oil in your air fryer basket and preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Spread the chicken drumsticks into the air fryer basket and set the time to 20 minutes. Flip the chicken every 5 minutes or so that they become golden all over.
  • Open the air fryer to see if they are crispy enough for you, and heat them for a couple more minutes if you wish.
  • Decorate with a slice of lemon and serve while warm.

Notes

This recipe counts 2 pieces of chicken per person. You can adjust the quantities as you wish.
