Ham and mushroom quiche

- 1 deep dish pie crust
- 3 eggs
- 200 g of chopped chunks of ham
- 3/4 cup of crème fraïche or heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 cup of shredded cheese eg. emmental, gruyère or cheddar
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 200 g of sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Preheat the oven at 180C (375F).
Place the pie crust on a baking pan and pierce lightly all over with a fork (around 2 inches apart).
Beat the eggs, milk, and heavy cream in a large bowl with the salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Clean the mushrooms and chop them into small pieces, along with the ham.
Cook the mushrooms in a frying pan for a few minutes along with the olive oil.
Remove the mushrooms from the stove.
Place the ham and mushrooms into the pie crust, and top off evenly with the egg mixture.
Place in the oven for 35 minutes or until the top crust is browned.
Serve while warm.
