CreamGreek yogurt – regular or low fat greek yogurt.
tahiniTahini sauce – for that smooth and salty flavor
shallotsShallot flakes – dried shallot flakes or powder. You can also use onion powder as an alternative, if you don’t have shallots.
OilOlive oil – I prefer virgin olive oil, but you can use any type that you have.
lemonLemon juice – freshly squeezed lemon juice for flavor

Tahini yogurt dressing is a creamy and zesty sauce that is great for salads or as a dipping sauce. It is made by combining Greek yogurt with Middle-eastern tahini, garlic, lemon juice and salt.

But the key is a touch of shallots or onion powder for a slightly sweet yet zingy addition to the sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup of greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of tahini
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried shallot flakes
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with a large spoon or whisk.
  • Taste and adjust with salt and pepper as necessary.
  • Serve immediately.
