Air fryer ham hock

A juicy hunk of meat, there is nothing like a roasted ham hock. The lower part of a pig’s leg, ham hock is known for its rich, smoky flavor and tender meat when cooked.

Using an air fryer, the meat becomes crispy on the outside while staying juicy and flavorful inside. It is an easy way to prepare this classic cut of meat with less time and effort. Just in time for dinner!

Air fryer ham hock
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2.5 lbs of ham hock (pork) (1 kg)
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of dried coriander
- pinch of salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the spices together.
- Scor the ham hock skin lightly in a criss-cross pattern with a sharp knife.
- Add the meat into the bowl and cover each one generously with the spice mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 360°F (180°C).
- Place the ham hock in air fryer basket for 45 minutes, flipping the meat every 10 minutes or so.
- Open the air fryer to see if the meat is crispy enough for you, and heat them for a couple more minutes if you wish.
- Serve while warm.
